The difference between light magnesium oxide and heavy magnesium oxide
Magnesium oxide is a kind of ionic compound composed of magnesium element and oxygen element, which belongs to alkaline oxide. Commonly known as bitter soil, also known as magnesium oxide. Has high fire-resistant insulation performance, slightly soluble in water, placed in the air, easy to absorb water and gas and gradually become basic magnesium carbonate, so before and after use, attention should be paid to sealed preservation during transportation and stored in a dry and ventilated environment.
light magnesium oxide is a chemical product with high content, white color and fluffy volume. The appearance is white amorphous powder.
Heavy magnesia is a mineral burning product, compact in volume and white or beige powder. It is easy to combine with water and absorb water easily when placed in air. It is easy to gelling and hardening when mixed with magnesium chloride solution.
light magnesium oxide and heavy magnesium oxide have different applications:
(1) light magnesium oxide is mainly used in the production of rubber products and neoprene adhesives. Magnesium oxide acts as an acid absorber and accelerator in rubber manufacturing, and reduces sintering temperature in ceramics and enamels. It can be used as a filler in the manufacture of grinding wheel and paint, as a whitening agent or refined decolorant of granulated sugar in food processing, and Magnesium oxide fertilzier grade can also be used as fertilizer and feed additive for livestock in agriculture.
(2) Heavy magnesia can be used to produce magnesium salt in chemical industry, artificial chemical floor, artificial marble heat protection board, sound insulation board in construction industry, and filler in plastic industry.
In addition, there are many kinds of magnesium oxide, including 65 powder, 70 powder, 75 powder, 80 powder, 85 powder, 90 powder and so on.
