Progress in hydrotalcite and its application in polyvinyl chloride
Key words: POLYvinyl chloride hydrotalcite heat stabilizer heat stability research progress
Abstract: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), as one of the world's three universal resins, is widely used in industry, agriculture, daily necessities, packaging and construction and other fields. However, the instability of PVC structure makes it prone to aging and degradation under oxygen, high temperature or light conditions, which greatly limits its wider application. Therefore, it is necessary to add appropriate heat stabilizer or other processing AIDS to improve the thermal stability of PVC. Hydrotalcite (LDHs) thermal stabilizers have attracted extensive attention from researchers at home and abroad because of their unique structural characteristics, which can effectively absorb hydrogen chloride produced by PVC degradation. In addition,PVC also has the characteristics of interlayer ion exchange and adjustable grain size distribution. From the layer board of hydrotalcite, interlayer anion cation regulation regulation and layer board surface properties three aspects introduced the latest research progress of hydrotalcite heat stabilizers, hydrotalcite are pointed out in the poor performance of existing in the application of PVC thermal stability and easy agglomeration between the particles and its future development trend was forecasted, so as to promote the hydrotalcite performance improvement and widely application.
