INTRODUCTION OF MAGNESIUM SULPHATE HEPTAHYDRATE (MGSO4·7H2O)
Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate provides a soluble source of Magnesium and sulfur for plants. Magnesium is a secondary micronutrient. Magnesium is the central atom of the chlorophyll molecule and is therefore important in photosynthesis. Magnesium is important in protein synthesis and enzyme processes, and it helps plants to absorb and use phosphorous and nitrogen
Sulfur is a component of amino acids and proteins. It is important in plant metabolic functions and enzyme processes. Sulfur-containing components help regulate ion transport across bio-membranes and are important in tolerance of plants to salt, drought, and heat. Sulfur-containing components help to detoxify heavy metals in plants. A shortage of sulfur inhibits protein synthesis and decreases chlorophyll content in leaves.
Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate can be applied dry to the soil, dissolved and used as a foliar spray or dissolved in hydroponic nutrient solutions. It can be incorporated into fertilizer blends.
